Full Version: First Estie J restoration success

Thanks for everyone's help.
I just put some vintage Skrip Washable Blue in my first restored Esterbrook J (copper color). Really it just needed a new sac and a really good polishing.
It has a non-Esterbrook nib, though. It says Veri-Smooth. It's obviously a fine, which is fine with me. Took a couple of lines of writing to get the ink flowing good, but now it writes nicely. That blue is pretty light, though.
I have a 9460 Manifold Medium and a 9461 Manifold Fine coming. I'm going to find which of those I like and put it on this pen.
Fill it with a black and it's my first "carry" FP. I'm going to miss the Papermate I've been carrying for about twelve years, though.

Again, thanks for all of the good advice,
Firefyter-Emt
It's a good feeling to fill one up and have it work just like it should and then sit back and think, in my case they are always older than I am. (Just 35 in 2 weeks)
