Full Version: Does Noodlers Legal Lapis create a "wetter" ink flow?

I have a Pelikan M200 that seemed to positively gush Legal Lapis when I inked it for the 1st time...Very bad...

I could have inked it improperly, though, as it was the 1st time with a Pelikan

I cleaned it out, and noticed the Noodlers black doesnt gush out, like the Lapis did.

Im pretty sure I inked it the same way..

Any thoughts as to what I did or didnt do?

Sorry, trying to troubleshoot a newish pen (I did buy it used...)

Thanks,

D

For me, Legal Lapis is a bit more runny than Black, but shouldn't be as bad as you are describing. I use it in my Pelikan M215 without problems, just some typical nib-creep. Have you tried other inks besides the Black and the Lapis? See how do they do...

I use legal lapis in my M200 and it's definitely nib-creepy, but I it doesn't run like that...

I had the same issue with Legal Lapis in my Sensa Meridian (ground to 0.4mm)--it was fine with other Noodler's inks (even a little dry, perhaps), but gushed LL. So much so, that I switched to a different ink in that pen. LL was fine in my Sheaffer Javelin (extra-fine point), though. I just figured it was one of those pen/ink pairings that don't work as well. sad.gif
