My M800 just suffered a traumatic fall from which it won't soon recover. Where could I buy a body only? Is that possible? It broke just after the threading on the barrel......

contact Chartpak. They've been known to have some pretty awesome customer service.

Send it to Chartpak. You never know but you may get it fixed for an incredible price.

Don't yell at me, but, due to limited resources, I did a bit of self-mending and now the Pel works just as it did before with no leakages whatsoever. It looks just as it did, with no scratches or anything!! Thank you Krazy Glue.........

For future reference, I dropped my Pel, which broke in the same place as yours and Chartpak fixed it for free. Very quick turn around, too. Less than a week start to finish.

For future reference. I would not recommend Krazy Glue or any other cyanoacrylate-based glue for pen repairs. Due to it's hygroscopic nature, it's a somewhat bad choice.

Chartpak does repair pens that have broken at that joint for free

Pelikan has a great customer service.
Yesterday my M 400 tortoise came back from Pelikan. It was leaking ink below the filling knob and they fixed it for free!!!

Not to be a downer, but there's a very good chance the glue will eventually fail. If it does, send it to Chartpak, as others have said. Enjoy your pen in the meantime, though. Best,
