Since the barrel is translucent, I am wondering what ink will look good? Any thoughts?

I guess there's already a thread about this subject.
I use Noodler's Beaver in this Pelikan. Looks really good and suits good together!

I like Pelikan Brown or the FPN LE Galileo Manuscript Brown.

I have Noodlers Emerald City Green currently residing in mind.

I filled mine with Pelican Briliant Brown this morning but I not sure if I like it. I think a dark green or burgendy would look nicer....

I'm ashamed to say my Pel is still uninked and is waiting for a decision!
PR Burgundy Mist sounds good though.

I think in an earlier thread on the subject, PR Copperburst and J. Herbin Lie de The were mentioned as possibilities -- and I seem to recall some scans of sample inks.

Right now mine has PR's Chocolat in it. I've also had Mont Blanc's Season's Greetings and Noodler's Walnut in it. All are great inks. I'm sure an olive-y green ink would go nicely in it, but I don't have any (they don't appeal to me).

I don't like green or brown ink, so I have Diamine Prussian Blue in mine. This color actually looks more natural coming out of this pen than one might think. And, it doesn't stain.

Hands down favorite is Montblanc Racing Green - I will keep this ink in this pen after trying several other colors already mentioned. Lovely soft olivey gray green - quite nice.

I had Diamine Prussian Blue which worked very well and didn't "clash."
Then I discovered Diamine Umber (a gray-green.) My Honey has been on an Umber diet for most of the time I've owned it.
I think any brown or green looks especially nice but keep in mind that as long as the ink is dark enough, the color of the ink within the pen isn't that noticeable despite the translucence of the barrel.

I initially inked it with Diamine Imperial Purple. It looked good (and wrote well) but I washed it out due to fear of staining. Not that it did but I didn't want to risk it. Now, it's Diamine Emerald Green. I will probably keep either a green or brown ink in this pen in the future. I'm not a believer in matching the colour of the ink to go with the colour of the pen but for this case, I'll make an exception.

Baystate Blue! Wait, I don't own a tortoise shell Pelikan.
Note: do NOT put Baystate Blue in that pen, or any pen with a translucent barrel. I was only joking.

Have it inked with Waterman Havana brown but I don't like the brown so much and the pen does not see any use.
I may switch to Rohrer & Klinger verdisgris that I like much better.

Diamine Sepia looks beautiful - and makes the pen look beautiful too.
Noodler's Squeteague is a different green, but I like it in the Honey T.

Oooh, I just ordered my white/tortoise from Pam Braun.
I was thinking either Noodler's Hunter Green or Eternal Brown. I'm leaning toward the brown because it flows so well.

I'm tempted to get one too. Whenever I look at pics of this pen I screams Red/Burgundy or Purple ink

If I ever get one chances are it would get either Herbin Poussière de Lune or Noodler's Tiananmen Red.

I've kept Omas Sepia in it for a while now. After reading this thread, I'm inspired to try Umber and MB Racing Green.
