I am intending to buy my first Pelikan this weekend. Although not sure which one but will need to be a fine nib comparably to the Cross Solo fine nib. size wise also of a similar size but slightly larger is also ok. Would love to hear other members opinions. I intend to lots of writing so it will need to be comfortable. Advice & opinions welcomed.
Thanks,

I recommend a Pelikan 200, fine nib or a Pelikan 215 with silver rings, fine nib (steel). Good prices on these at Pendemonium and Swisher Pens, FYI.
The 400 series are just slightly larger but double the price. Unless you have a big hand, which would make a 600 more comfortable for you, at about triple the price.
The 200 series is the value point of the Pelikan world - you get a lot of bang for the buck.
I think the 800 and the 1000 are lovely, but the 1000 is very very big and the 800 is beautiful but pretty pricey (though very reasonable compared to a MB 149).

Oscar Brown Pens (www.oscarbraunpens.com) have White Tortoise Pelikan 400 on special for $99. Great deal, and I have already placed my order.
That's an amazing pen. I was eyeing it for about a month. Placed my order with ISellPens.com when Todd had it on special. But, it was sold out.
Now, I am looking forward to my second chance. When it arrives, I will call it "My Second Chance".
