Who can repair/regrind/smooth/adjust/restore/retip/customize my nib?

This question is asked oten enough in this forum that I felt it would be beneficial to collect a list of pen repair professionals whom people have used or recommended, or have advertised their services here on FPN.

There are many other fine professionals who specialize in different types of pen repair and restoration, but this list is meant to provide information specifically for repairers who advertise nib work.

As a representative "price check", I have attempted to find the charge for a simple Nib-Size Reduction on each of the repairers web sites. Each of these folks provide a number of different services at a number of different price points, so clearly the best option for exact pricing is to contact them directly.

This list is in alphabetical order, and no preference, endorsement or recommendation is implied.

Finally, I am sure this list is incomplete. If you know of any other pen-repair pros who provide this type of service, please post a follow-up message.

I hope collecting this information in one place will serve as a useful reference for the FPN community.

Anyone have any updates? I noticed another thread concerning a fine stub ground by our own SMG.

I have not yet added nib grinding to the services to my website, though I have been grinding nibs for about 9 months now. My current lead turnaround time is about 2 weeks, but that is subject to change based on volume. smile.gif

I do smooth, adjust, grind but do not retip nibs at this time. Retipping requires a substantial investment in equipment which is custom built, and honestly my business is not mature enough to take that on at this point.

Cheers,
Sean

Just a note to say that I'd love to see UK & Europe data in here too!

Although I haven't used him yet, there is a guy named Mike at Mikeitwork.com (Mike it work) that has impressive credentials. He apprenticed under Nagahara....

You might want to add him to the list.

I'd also like to know about UK experts as I would like to have a nib reground to a stub. Does anyone know who can do this in the UK?
