I'm sure most of you will be familiar with the work of Jean-Francois Escoulen.
No connection other than having met him at a seminar we had in Ireland a couple of years ago. A lovely guy, and a superb turner.

I just came across a couple of clips on youtube where he is demonstrating the use of the bedan (if you don't have one, they are dead easy to make up).
