I have been drooling over the reviews of Visconti Blue and Bordeaux, but am not sure which bottle to get. The ornate glass bottle is more expensive, and holds a smaller quantity of ink. So, I was leaning towards the plastic bottles, but I can't tell from the pictures online if the mouth is wide enough to fill from easily. If anyone has experience with the plastic bottle, please let me know. Thanks!

Yes, they are. But...

Very easy to tip over, though. I've not done that yet, but I have thought about how easy it would be to have happen.

There's probably a "holder" - sand in a pot or something to stick the bottle in - that would be a good accessory if you have shaky hands wink.gif Or have a friendly spouse or neighbor help keep one hand on the pot.

P.S. I am a bordeaux fan - very nice pale bordeaux color. Dries fairly fast.

Likewise. The bottle is wide enough but I am worried that the lightweight plastic bottle will tip over. My suggestion, FWIW, is to empty the plastic bottle into a glass bottle that you have already used up and washed thoroughly.

Visconti blue is one of my favourite inks. So far I had no problem at all with the plastic bottle other than that it is difficult to get the last drop of ink out of it...

I've not had any problem fitting a pen inside the opening, but the narrow opening does mean that you're more likely to make a mess on the pen while filling it. And, as others have said, they're not very stable. They're best treated as refills and decanted into something else.
