What if a clever machinist were to fabricate a convertor to replace those small, Mont Blanc cartridges? Or perhaps a refillable cartridge for them? I know just the machinist that could do it.

I think that Aurora has a small slide converter that fits internation cart only pens. \

I think that Dillo did this.

Doesn't Tryphon also sell an aero converter that fits intl cart pens?

I would think it good but there are various ways it has already been done, but consider the design characteristics so often wished for here:

Large ink capacity: think ED filler or a capacity of 5 to 10 times the amount in cartridges or converters currently available
Ability to fit many types of pens or different types of nib sections, filler "pipes"/ "nubs"/"nipples", perhaps a variety of adaptors and lengths/widths for the universe of common pen dimensions.
Dependable, snug fit/seal with nib section
Security: non-leaking into pen body, enough thread on any threaded part to firmly seal
Ease of filling
Piston type mechanism to fill? threaded cap at end of ink retension cylinder with a reliable seal?
Durable, non-corrosive construction material
High quality construction with excellent quality control and a solid warranty and failure replacement policy
Able to resist wear and tear
No part wider then ink cylinder diameter, no ridges or lips to hinder insertion into pen body.

Well, if it has been done, it has been done and I'll stop thinking about it. My drive was that I can only use Mont Blanc ink in my Bohemme pens (I think). I like Mont Blanc ink just fine but I thought I'd look into options. I think one could make a career out of making different, refillable cartridges for all the various pens, and I have no desire to do that.

I'll shut up now.

Don't shut up embarrassed_smile.gif I was just offering what's out there...never said that it worked with every pen thumbup.gif

Well, I'm a machinist. I'm always looking for a need to fulfill. Just wait until my "Domaflitchy" becomes a household word, I'll have that Boucheron before you know it. thumbup.gif
