I wanted to find out what all of the hullabaloo was about these Pelikan pens. So I just oredered my first M400. I have been a Montblanc fan for years and just really started getting into the FPs.

My question is What is the difference between models. There seems to be quite a bit of money between the M-200, 400, 600, and the M-1000.

Is it just looks or is the durability and Nibs better.

Well, there is a definite size difference from the M200 size on up through the M1000 size. Also, yes, the nibs tend to be a bit more ornate with each size increase, but as many will tell you on here, myself included, some of the best nibs are found on the least expensive models, such as the Pelikan M75 Go! fountain pen. You'll find a size comparison at this link: http://www.richardspens.com/?page=ref_info/inks.htm. Also, there's a nib comparison on that page.

Good Luck!
