I and my girlfriend are currently traveling in California. Unfortunately, I encountered a wonderful Omas T2 (Milord-sized) for which I eventually fell. I had sworn to stay away from further pen purchases but my perseverance wasn't strong enough, obviously. This was a pen that I have had on my list of pens to buy for a long time. I'll present you with a full-blown review once I return. Only so much: the pen is outstanding in its use of the titanium. The nib on the pen is also titanium and is very similar to the nib used in the Emotica which spells a lot of flex. The T2 originally came in two versions: 1.) the Paragon T2 with gold trim and an engraved 18k gold nib and 2.) the smaller Milord with high-tech trim and a real titanium nib. I got the latter one as I thought that it would be stupid to have a titanium pen without a titanium nib. Moreover, the gold trim on the titanium Paragon looks just hideous. Therefore I consider the Milord-sized T2 the real McCoy.

Wolfgang, congratulations on your new Omas T2 Milord! I realize you were on a pen buying moratorium -- but what a fabulous way to end it! Looking forward to your review. smile.gif

Oh, if it's of any consolation, my own moratorium ended only after 6-weeks. I gave in to a Stipula Etruria Grande Amber and then bought a few more in the process. However, I've imposed a new moratorium (yes!)... biggrin.gif

Thanks for all of your comments. The more I write with this pen, the more I like it. The nib is incredible. I will post more information in a few days.

I totally agree with you on the choice of the Milord for the T2 - it has a real titanium heart (the nib) and also looks much better than the Paragon. I don't know how I would've managed keeping a pen buying moratorium with this pen under my nose for sale. I incidentally broke mine at Joon last month over a $400 Visconti Coral Voyager - the original issue - with an incredibly smooth and responsive fine nib. The nib just screamed "We won't meet twice!", the coral celluloid was like a ray of sunshine and the sellers at Joon were so darn nice to me... !

Let us know how the T2 behaves.

PS. Have you found a Spina di pesce?
Martius
Ohh! I really really want one of these. I wouldn't be able to afford it for a while, though, even if I located one. Blast you and your titanium goodness!

Omasfan, can you write me into your will - and then go on and start up Everest or something? I'd take great care of that Galileo Galilei. thumbup.gif

I've finally managed to put up a review in the review section. Feel free to check it out. I'd also like to hear from other T2 owners what they think.

I agree. I wrote a long time with the full titanium Milord. But now it's back in box, because I succeded in making scratches on the shaft and I don't like to have more of them. But for writing it's great, the nib is even more flexible than the nibs of my OMAS's and Visconti's.
