I was really expecting a paper this visibly textured to be a rough write, but I'm not kidding when I say it felt almost buttery to write on, even with the little Pilot Petit 1, which I thought would be scratchy, even toothy, but no. It must be the "memory foam" of papers -- laying down when the nib goes over it and then springing back into place when the nib has passed on.
Despite the 32ish lb weight of the paper, due to the texturing, there is a hint of showthrough under normal lighting conditions, it's more pronounced in this scan because of the scanner's lamp, but it is there.
And, although it did play well with all of my nibs, because of the texture, it gives the most character to writing from medium to broad nibs.
ETA: I just put a few lines on the back side of my sample piece with my brand new Pilot Prera f nib that got here minutes ago -- that nib is like an XXF by anybody else's standards -- and yet, still a smooth and pleasant experience.
