Full Version: 9128 Nib

I've always used as stiff and as fine a nib as possible. Since getting into Esterbrooks I've been using the 9550 nib almost exclusively (though I do have a fondness for the 2550, too). I was curious about the 9128, though, and picked one up NOS on ebay. I love line it delivers, but when I write with it there seems to be click when they nib touches the paper, almost a minute shaking between the metal of the nib and the feed section behind it. As I have no experience with flex or semi-flex nibs, can anyone tell me if this is normal?

Many thanks,
Adam

Maybe you have a burr between the tines and need some brass shim stock to "floss the tines".
