Hi everyone, i am curious.
I know century classic should have a narrower band on the barrel of the cap, this is know from reading the threads, but how about the nibs? is the century classic supposed to have plated nibs in gold or do you also find them in silver/rhodium?
I am referring to the chrome FP. If anyone has a pic of both to explain the difference, please share it with me....
Thanks!

I don't recall ever seeing a Century Classic with silver appointments or nib.
I can tell you that I had a CC with a much smoother, better quality nib than I received in a CCII.
Be aware that the CC nibs tend to eventually wobble and rotate. Besides that, it was a great pen and I wish I had it back...

The Century Classic had no thickening band on the end of the cap, unlike the Century II which has a reinforcement at the edge.
The nib of the Classic is quite small and dainty, even in broad - quite modern in design really - and the nib of the Century II is more "traditional" in shape. This might seem back-to-front, but there we are.
As for nib materials, they varied with the actual pen material. My Classic in silver is gold, my Classic in grey is gold-plated and my chrome Century II is stainless steel. All write smoothly.
Hope this helps.
