What would the cost have been for a brand new, "J' Series Esterbrook pen in 1951?

There's a 1949 advert on PenHero.com showing $2 for standard and $3 for deluxe, so by 1951 it shouldn't be too much different. The point chart at richardspens.com has a '59 imprint, and shows 1XXX/2XXX points for sixty cents, 9XXX for $1.15; similarly, I don't think there was a LOT of price-raising in that decade, so it's probably very close to the costs for the year you're after.
