A pen of this color scheme really needs to be filled with Waterman Havana Brown ink to reach its full potential!

The more pictures that I see of the Grand Place, the more gorgeous I realise that it is.

Or maybe Noodler's Eternal Brown with a single drop of Bulletproof Black to make it a bit more 'walnutty' (my own word).

Beautiful pen as well. I have one and its' by far my favorite. It's been in rotation since I got it. Right now mine is filled with Noodlers Forest Green. FPN Manuscript Brown is a good match too. Congratulations on it!

The Grand Place is my favorite pen. Mine is filled with a home mixture of PR DC Supershow Blue and Waterman Purple that matches the blue in the pen.
As a side note, I've never seen a picture that trully shows the depth and beauty that this pen has. Hope you enjoy your GP as much as I'm enjoying mine.

Yes, this really shows how a good photograph can bring out the beauty of a pen. Often I have seen a pen that looked nice in a photograph but did really stand out. Then, someone takes the good photo that really shows the pen to its full potential.
I think the Ductus has just not met that photographer who can show us its real beauty.

Or not.
Actually, I have ordered a Ductus and am eager to see how it performs. I generally like nonstandard shaped nibs, and so I like the clunky duck-bill nib. Hope it writes as well as my 800s.

I've been tempted by the New York (black and white) only for the size - the design isn't that incredible to me. Especially when THIS one is floating around. Incredible design. Is this a 6XX or a 4XX? It looks relative small in your photos?
I second the Havana Brown choice!

It's a 620-series, so it's based on the 600's size.

Your new Grand Place is striking! Great photos. I always have my Grand Place inked...sometimes with a brown (Pelikan Brown is my favorite in this pen) or a blue-turquoise to match the swirls of blue (it's currently loaded with Blue-Suede).
