I want to buy a Pelikan M200, and I tend to prefer fine tips, especially the EF nib in my Lamy Al-Star.

I just dont know anything about Pelikan pens, other than they are fine writing instruments.

Someone help me out here?

Hi DJ,
I happen to have an EF Lamy Al-Star AND a Pelikan m200 in F. They write just about the same line thickness, although I find the Pelikan to be a MUCH better, smoother pen. I have heard that the factory XF nibs for the Pelikan pens are not very good (they tend to be scratchy and have other issues). You can't go wrong with an M200, especially from Richard Binder (no affiliation). It holds a lot more ink that the Al-Star as well.
