Can anyone describe this ink? I've read it described as chocolate and cinnamon, and their website says cookies and spices... so what exactly does it smell like? How strong is the scent and how long does it last? What are its flow characteristics? Is this ink actually an MB produced ink and not like the Herbin scented rose/Je t'aime ink? Thanks for your help.

MB Season's Greetings ink is a dark brown ink; the scent is anise and maybe a little bit of vanilla - smells like anise-liquor in my opinion :-)

...but it is a nice scent.

Like all scented inks I now the scent doesn't stay on the paper for very long so it is more to the pleasure of the writer.

Tried it in only one pen so far (Stub nib Sheaffer Intrigue) and didn't notice and problems with flow.

Will post a more detailed review on my site PENS'n'INKS soon.

I only wrote with it for about thirty seconds - I had to leave for work and was running late, but the color is a nice, chocolately brown. Nothing exciting, but nice enough. Looks like it might do something interesting shading-wise.

And it smells like an anise-laced spice cookie. Mmmmm.

But it feathers and bleeds on moleskine paper. sad.gif
I haven't tried it on anything better yet - when I get home this evening, I may see how it behaves on the FPN notepad if it occurs to me to do so.

I just sniffed the page - the scent is still there, unlike every other scented ink I've ever used.

I steer clear of MB scented inks after that amount of hassle it was to clear the scent from an ebonite pen. It combined with the rubber smell in the pen to make it really stinky.
