With a view to balancing some of the recent criticism of PenGallery in the Pelikan forum, here's just one small example of my own positive experience. I'm placing it in Writing Instruments for greater visibility; Mods should feel free to move it elsewhere if it's not appropriate. I'd like to be able to post the email exchange here, as it would give you some idea of just how charming they can be, but that would be bad form without their permission. So, a brief synopsis:

1. I order a Waterman Carene Deluxe in blue.
2. Next day, Lai advises me that Sanford have called to say it's out of stock, and asks whether I would like to choose anything else; adding that my credit card has not been processed for the order.
3. I express my disappointment, and say the only other thing I was considering was a Graf Von Faber Castell Guilloche in Indigo Blue, but that it's a bit more than I want to spend at present.
4. Lai apologises for being 'a spoilsport', and promptly offers to knock an attractively sizeable chunk off the price of the Graf.

Immediately prior to this exchange, they had already agreed to let me try a Sailor with a Zoom nib to see what it was like, and accepted its return solely on the grounds that I didn't care for it. At the same time, they were patiently answering various questions about other orders, and busy preparing special invoices at my request. In all, no fewer than twenty-seven email messages were exchanged in less than a week - they were even replying to me from home on a Malaysian public holiday.

Should I beware of PenGallery?

Not hardly!
