Full Version: Esterbrook on my county's website?

So I was lurking around the website for my county and on the upper right hand corner I notice that it's a picture of a fountain pen. And then, since I just recently acquired a red Esterbrook, I noticed that it looks a lot like what's in that picture?

Take a gander if you'd like. If it is, I just thought it was cool.

Cool. And left handed at that.

Yup!

Great snag. As a LH Estie fancier, I really appreciate seeing that, although knowing PR people and photo layouts, it's probably 50/50 whether the photo was flipped just for aesthetics as opposed to it really being a LH writer... wink.gif

What model is it? I only have J's, and it's not that.

(BTW, I thought it was cool when I ran across two J's -- grey and black -- posing on top of a notebook in this past Christmas' "Red Envelope" catalog.)

I thought that's what I was. I have two J's and that looks like the section.

I don't think so -- the color appears solid and the threads are wrong (relatively few, coarse, and not extending to the end of the barrel).

FWIW, here's that catalog photo (and no, I wouldn't pay that for a notebook!).

Frankly, it looks like a Sheaffer NoNonsense to me.

It could be a Tempo Red Esterbrook purse pen. I have one of these and it is a solid red with a black section and red jewels.

Now that could be a possibility. smile.gif
