I was given an old 19?
gold colored 4 15/16 '' long pen , eversharp 3 on nib nib is broken on the left tip.

my ? is should it be worthit to have it re-tipped and what else done to get it operating again.

dont' know anything about these real oldies and any advice would be most definitely appreciated.

I bet a good number of folks on the Forum could give you an opinion about such a pen, but, can you post a picture of the pen? Just the length and the nib data doesn't narrow down the possibilities enough to answer your question accurately.

This would be from the 20s. At that size I assume it has a pocket clip. The nib would be more easily replaced than re-tipped. What it is worth depends almost entirely on condition. If there are no dents and no wear to the gold plating, it's probably worth perhaps 100 even with the bad nib. Defects drop that considerably. If I had a #3 nib and did repairs, I would sell you the nib and set it and adjust it plus put a new sac in it and clean it up for about $50. Then you'd have shipping both ways and I don't know if you can find anyone to do it for that or not, just my estimate. So you can see that unless condition is pretty good, with the bad nib, it might have to have some sentimental value to be worth restoring.
