My Waterman Laureat mineral green ballpoint just self-destructed. The back ("twisty") part of the pen fell off (yes, clunk on the floor) while the pen was in my hand. I can no longer twist the pen open or closed - and I'm very sad! I've had this pen for over 10 years.

Any advice on finding replacement parts, short of finding an entirely new pen?

Hi scougale,
Welcome to FPN.

One way of finding spares for the Laureate series is likely to be through seeing what you can find on e-bay, or you might like to post a wanted ad in the appropriate section of the Marketplace here, if you have no sucess then J.M. Lewertowski, a reliable seller from France and a member here might have a NOS Laureate B/P.

A picture of the damaged part/parts might help as the internals of several Waterman models might fit the Laureate, I am not sure of this at all as I rarely get involved with B/Ps but there were several of about the same size and style at the time so there maybe some commonality of parts.

Best of luck,

Cheers, John

There is a possibility that I might have a spare I could send you. (I'll have to scrounge around when I get home.) Sending you a PM.

You didn't mention checking with Waterman; perhaps you have and it was unproductive. In the event that you didn't because you don't have contact information, they can be reached in the following ways.

Many Laureat BPs come up on eBay. You should watch, bid, buy, cannibalize. The normal progression.
