All inks (except the one noted) are bottled ink. All color names were written with a Speedball B-6 steel dip nib.

I don't actually own all of these; some are just samples.

These are photos taken without flash, then adjusted to be consistent with each other and to match what I see (to the extent possible on my particular monitor). I hope they are useful to someone.

At the bottom, as a reference point, is a flexy vintage Pelikan 140 (currently for sale on Marketplace--shameless, I know).

- Omas Grey (a cool, silvery grey, easily read on white paper, shows lots of shading in a flexy pen; this would not be confused with pencil)

- Sailor Gray (less silvery than Omas and more cement-gray, darker than Omas, shows some shading; this color is comparable to writing with a pencil--I checked)

- Parker Quink Black (a cool dark black that can show some lighter gray or blue-gray in hairlined areas)

- Noodler's Black (opaque, more neutral and not as cool-toned as Parker, no shading)

I like the blue tone that shows up in your photograph of Omas Gray.
I've seen Sailor Gray on paper. My memory of it matches what I read in your description and see in your photograph. It is a very neutral gray that does look very pencil-like.
