Well folks, I moaned and moped on this board about a few weeks ago as I impatiently waited for a pen to arrive, so today I'll share a happier story. I received not one, not two, but three packages in the mail today.
  • First up is an OMAS Paragon Extra sent from Israel.
  • Second is a nib doctoring kit from Mr. Binder - complete with two practice pens.
  • Third is a PFM III from the UK.

I'm in pig heaven. The only downside, and I'm really stretching here, is that I have a poker game tonight and therefore won't get to flush, fill, and test the pens until tomorrow.

All in all life is good.

Congratulations, enjoy the pens. I just love that feeling you get when you see a package in the doorway and just know that your weeks spent patiently waiting have just paid off.

Congrats on the new pens!

You brought up a topic I'd been wondering about. What do you use to flush a new pen? I'm sure that there is a thread about it somewhere, but I haven't found it.

Thanks!

Ah nothing like the smell of another pen.

Yes, and my CS Wellington arrived today...after I'd been overcharged about $20 by Spanish Customs sad.gif , but as they didn't charge me anything for my Wall Street LE from the USA, I guess I should put it down to "Win Some, Lose Some"...not easy wink.gif

It is a beauty, and Richard has worked his magic with a 0.7mm cursive italic nib....yum, yum smile.gif

Well if that doesn't just frost the cake! Having to decide between a poker game and playing with new pens. I am not sure the card game would have won for me. Enjoy! /Craig

Congratulations! I hope you win at poker to increase your "Pen Fund". wink.gif

I'd be interested to know how you like the PFM if it's your first. I have two and there amongst my very favourite pens, lovely smooth and wet writers.

I know what you mean - today I received in the mail a black Waterman 5 with a Blue nib (i.e., a fairly flexible stub) but am about to get on a plane to London and must wait patiently for 10 days before playing with it....
