I sat my Etruria 991 inside a book and that's right it landed on its nib tip and one of the tines is bent back 90 degrees. sad.gif I had close calls like this so it serves me right for pushing my luck. sad.gif It just rolled off and I couldn't catch it in time. sad.gif

So now what can I do. I think the nib tine is bent too far back. It's one of the Stipulas that you can unscrew the nib just like a Pelikan so it's easy enough to ship out and get fixed or replaced. How much do you think this will cost me?

sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif Ouch! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
Don't know exactly, but I'd guess a new nib will cost somewhere between $125-150, but that's just my guess.

Hi,

Sorry to hear it. sad.gif I killed a Pelikano (Sarah) this way, but revived her... and no, I didn't drop her. I dipped her into my ink bottle and accidentally pressed her down, effectively bending the nib 100 degrees. I ended up straightening her nib. What a mess! 30º is enough already. Well, she writes still, but better than she did originally. tongue.gif

Oh dear....So sorry, Centurion sad.gif

A new nib will cost something north of $100.00. I can almost certainly repair the nib, probably for about $25.00 to $30.00.

Hi,

I can also do it. Just decide who. I know Richard Binder does a good job on this. Excellent in fact, but so far, I have fixed a good number of these things and am relatively experienced. I will do it for a flat rate of $25 which includes all shipping. I can almost certainly repair it, but whether you choose Richard or me, you know you are going to get if fixed--well--to perfection.
