While fiddling around with one of my cheaper pens tonight, gravity decided to play a trick on me and I dropped my Waterman Phileas on the floor. Solid floorboards!

The pen seems fine, but the nib has been altered thus, by it's recent trip: It's now scratchy and I'm not QUITE sure what's happened to it.

One of the tines is out of alignment, that much I can tell by the slight scratchiness (also, I feel it when I rub the tip against my finger), but I think I need a stronger magnifier to see the real damage.

On the plus-side, it now has a much better inkflow! lticaptd.gif

Okay, not a complete disaster. I think I managed to realign the tines. And as a bonus, I managed to keep the increased inflow! No more skipping!! Thank God this happened with my cheapest pen!

Now I need to wash all this black ink off my fingers...

Well this is a sad story with a happy end.
Please dont do the same with you MB pens.the last thing you want to do is try and see how strong the special resin really is lticaptd.gif .

Well, I'm glad this near tragic event ended well. Dropping a pen does wonders for one's pulse rate, doesn't it.

A sad tale with a happy end -- and you learned something in the meantime.
