I noticed this:

http://www.registrarsink.co.uk/

110ml is a lot of ink. I wonder if it flows as well as, say, the Diamine namesake? I suspect that this wouldn't need to if it's just for making signatures in registry offices.

(Notice the Vector on sale too!)

A blog entry on this ink.

My quest continues. Meanwhile, the above looks interesting.

"This, I thought, is what it's all about: an employee of the state is handing me a fountain pen asking me to write with it."
I'm sure many here would agree!

Hi Sat,

I too had to go to the Registry Office last year and noticed that the ink was by Stephen's and it too was labelled Registrar's Ink. The bottle was glass and had a "proper" label rather than the rather plain label in your photograph. The registrar told me the same, that records were being done by computer now, or soon will be, and she said she would miss the reality of writing and signing a proper record book.

I wonder who actually makes the ink being sold by the company in your link?

Well, there's a link to the company at the bottom of the page, and it's called Kerbury Ltd:

Kerbury Ltd.

I actually went ahead and got some for addressing envelopes, signing cheques etc. I'll try to report back with a review if I can once it arrives. I'd guess, though, that you'd be better off with, say, the Diamine as a regular ink.
