I only post ebay auctions when I think they are of educational value and, of course, I have nothing to do with the auction and don't know the seller. That said, Wahl combos are scarce as hen's teeth. If I didn't have this one I'd be all over it. Anything under $500 would be a real buy.

Have seen and shot couple, usually oxford-ish items.

My concern for this one is that the top might melt. It has... that look wink.gif

I won't bid on this but out of curiosity have asked for better pics especially of the cap top.

Good point. In fact I'm not so sure the barrel on these is different from other other similar non-combos. If not a cap is easy to find. I'll have to pull a few out and check on that.

Some have mentioned that there may be crystallization at the cap top. I have asked the seller for a better pic and he has said he would try. Meanwhile I blew thae shot provided up and here it is. Hard to tell but I'm not sure that what may look like crystallization isn't part of the marble color. There is a light streak down just right of center. Left of that you can see the coloration that might be deterioration coming down and blending into what is definitely marble coloration. So I don't know, will have to hope for better pic. A shame if it's bad.

The top looks bad from here, recognizing of course the limitations of the pic.

Hello Sports Fans. Well the auction is over and the pen in question went for $390. Not a bad price, I would say given the condition, and the general scarcity of this model pen and assuming the winner has a good replacement cap. And, I am sorry that I made the winner have to clear my own high bid price to win this item...The the winner has a rare item that they should be proud to have won.

Thanks to Lynn for calling our attention to this rare item originally, too.
