Is this pen romanian made? Looks very nice, material, tip and writting result. The rear end looks like it is a piston filler but then it is a converter? Is this correct? Or is it sort of like the Sheaffer Intigues, a converter that you can fill from the outside as it it was a piston filler?. I like the handwritten sample. What's the nib size?
This is a piston converter which has a round rubber seal and a twist screw mechanism which draws the ink up through the nib. You can't fill the converter from the top with ink. The black part on the right end of the converter is the plastic piece you twist to fill it. The pen also comes with a standard “short” European ink cartridge. The pen has a medium steel nib with an iridium tip. Romet is an Italian company.
