Hi Bren,
Yes it was a very enjoyable meeting, and I recommend The Pen Room for a visit by any FPNer who can get to Birmingham; the volunteers who run the museum are very friendly and helpful. The meeting was also very well-organised by WES. I was impressed by the quality of the talks, and as a new WES member I was pleased to be made so welcome.
I really enjoyed our chat and hope to meet you again.
It was also a pleasure to meet Ian Williamson of WES, who is of course one of the organisers of the new Midland Pen Show which takes place in Lichfield in June - see:
http://www.midlandpenshow.co.uk/ - I will be there!
Cheers,
- Stuart

What a great series of lectures!
I had a very informative and entertaining day. So thanks to all that came along and made it so.
Lastly, it was a pleasure meeting up with a fellow FPNer, Stuart
regards
Bren
Hi Stuart, Hi Bren,
I'm glad that you both enjoyed the WES meeting. The presentations were very good, typical of most of the talks that we have at these sessions, I just wish that the speakers would hand out presentation notes because I find it almost impossible to absorb all of the useful information that the speakers part with.
I agree wholeheartedly with your comments about the Pen Room Stuart - you could spend days there and not be bored and the volunteers that run it have so much knowledge that they are so willing to pass on and as you say Stuart they are very friendly.
The next WES meeting is up at Lytham on the day before the Northern it should be a great one with Christine Hesketh of Diamine and two of the U.K.s top pen repairers Dr. Jim Marshall and Dr. Laurence Oldfield giving presentations and hopefully their new book on pen repair will be available. It should make for a really great weekend.
Regards
Ian
