I've been watching the threads here and wondering about a couple (or three) nice demonstrator pens that I've seen here.
They seem to be about the same price so its just a matter of how they write/feel.
Would you choose an Omas 360 Vison, a Stipulat Etruria Nuda, or Stipula Suprema Nuda? And what nibs size would you get on the pen of your choice?
Give your reasons.

I'm not wild about the shape of the 360, had one, worked with it, not for me. Omas does make fabulous fountain pens. Can't help you on the Stipula Suprema Nuda, know nothing about it.
Now, as you may know, I just got a Etruria Nuda myself. Love the pen, the Etruria that is, and this is my seventh Etruria. I think Stipula is another fabulous Italian maker that make this super looking traditional cigar shaped pen. And most important, I like their big nibs. My collection represents all their nib choices except the BOLD. I have never had a problem in any way with Stipula out of the box and that is another reason I favor the brand. They feel comfortable to write with but what feels good to me might not to you.
My nib choice was simple on my new purchase, In my mind, to justify another pen, I had to get the EF, which I have no experience with on a Stipula. I favor the Stipula FINE nib as a rule and 3 of my Etruria's have it.
But that's me and I'm interested to hear from some of the others also.

Well, I have two Etruria Nudas. I guess that says it all

.
Why? Essentially because I like the shape, it fits my hand well, and because of the large, springy nibs. I never really liked the shape of the Suprema, and neither do I care very much for the Omas 360, because of its shape. I find it very uncomfortable to write with. Obviously, YMMV.
I would get either a 1.1 italic or 0.9 italic on the Etruria Nuda, because those are the Stipula nibs I prefer, essentially because of the width variation and the size of my handwriting.
In contrast to greencobra, I do have all 10 different large Stip nib sizes, and although they all are fabulous IMO, I do think the italics really stand out.

I have a 360 vision, but have never had a stipula. At the time I was looking, I had it down to a 360 or a stipula davinci, and made a post about it here. At the time, the advice was to go with the Omas. The other reason for my going for the Omas was that I was actually able to try one out at a local pen store. I couldn't find anyone that had a davinci, and I didn't want to spend that kind of money without trying out the pen first.
I love the way the 360 feels and writes (oh soo smooth). Some people don't like the shape of the 360, so my advice to you would be to try one out if you can.
That said, I wouldn't mind picking up a Etruria nuda at some point.
It seems like you are in a win-win situation, regardless of which pen you choose...

Omas because the 360 is a real legend and its nib is buttery smooth.

I cannot stand the 360 series so the Stipula would win out.If it were between the Paragon and the Stip,i would be taking both!!
My Etruria is THE best writer i have.

1.1 italic or 0.9 italic on the Etruria. Why? Because I don't have one and I want one.
Omas pens are certainly very nice, just not my style. You really can't go wrong with any of your three choices! Let us know what you decide.

I love the shape of the (old-style) 360, and I think it's cooler than anything Stipula has, style-wise.
That said, in general I prefer Stipula. I think they're more innovative, and after a recent series of sales, I'm not sure there's anything Omas makes that I'd want any more.

I fretted over all these pens awhile, including the Omas Ogiva and the Sailor 1911. I ended up going w/ the Pilot Custom 823 Demonstrator. It had everything I wanted: clear barrel, great nib, cool filling system, good heft, gold hardware--all @ a great price. I'm very pleased with it.

Hi guys
I owned a 360 and was really great, mine was a BB nib, maybe even from the pre-Bock era, a bit stiff but really smooth, fast starter, great ink flowing etc.. Its a kind of very interesting pen, mine was celluloid and really the material looks beautiful because of the large sides of the pen (vs. a twelve facets ones), but maybe in a demonstrator is not an issue.
Etrurias are also very good, nib is more flexible and the pen shape is more conventional, but quite comfortable and classic look.
Holding the 360 is a bit different at the beginning, until you get used to it, and then maybe you will find it more convenient, 360’s do not roll over the table when they are un-caped

On the other hand Etrurias have a very nice balance, are easy to hold since the beginning, and maybe the demonstrator mechanism will looks better.
Hard decision to make, I will say 360 but maybe because I miss mine

Very best

I don't particularly like demonstrator pens, but I'd go for the Stipula Etruria Nuda because I like the Etrurias. My nib of choice for Etrurias are F nibs or the .9mm italic. I have a Pilot Crystal. I bought it as low-cost demonstrator merely to satisfy my curiosity. I finally purchased a Pilot 823 a few months ago but I'm not sure if the Pilot 823 would be a purist's idea of a true demonstrator. I bought it because of ink capacity not because it's a demonstrator.

I know not everyone likes demonstrators... And in some cases I don't think they're that good. BUT I do like being able to see exactly what the ink is doing and the ability to see the mechanism appeals to my engineering side.

Keep the input coming its great to see the views expressed here.

I have the 360 Visions and love it. Piston doesn't hold a lot of ink because of the design, but the nib, shape and look of the thing is so fantastic that I forgive all!

I have the 360 demo pens (clear & bronze) and like them a lot; however, not everybody likes the three faceted shape of the 360 and as for demonstrator pens go, the Stipula Suprema and Etruria a very nice looking pens and feel great to write with. The suprema has a unique piston filler and hold a ton of ink. Get the Stipula.

Hmmmmm.....what a coincidence ...i went through the same same mental debate in deciding between the Stipula Etruria Nuda or Stipula Suprema Nuda, and after asking a lot of questions and bothering many Stipula experts i have ordered my Stipula Etruria Nuda . So i am in august company now
After a lot of research(virtual

) , i have reached the decision that probably the Etruria Nuda is the best demonstartor pen available today . Moreover , it gives you the option of easily replaceable nibs (screw in and out) , and the grip section is much more ergonomic than the Omas .
Also , it might help you to know that i ordered the nuda with 0.9 mm Italic nib , which would be a much more allround use nib and at the same time would provide lots of variation and thus exitement .
BTW - You can always be assured of very good support and advice in case of any contingency in form of advice from our knowledgeable Stipulaphiles. Jokes apart , my special thanks to Wim , girleg33k, Escribiente ,greencobra and others for excellent advice and support . I was total newbie to Italian pens in general and specifically the Stipula and now i feel , that i know Stipula pens well enough to advice others

Weeeelllll I tallied the votes so far and Stipula Etruria comes out ahead, just barely beating the Omas.... The Stipula Suprema doesn't get much support.... So its between the Omas and the Etruria...
However, I found Omas 360's at what I think is a good price. Seems the Omas is a love/hate kind of pen and you have to hold one to see which side you are on... The Etruria Nuda is a bit harder to track down, so its on the wait and see if I can find one at a good price. If I'm less than enamored with the Omas when it arrives then I'll be putting it up for sale in the Marketplace.
But feel free to keep adding input. I'm sure it'll help others at some point. Or me in the future....

I own neither, but based on my research, I'd go for the Stipula Etruria in amber, and they have a great nib choice!
Now you've done it. And I just sold my Montblanc, too.
