I have a nice Sheaffer Vac Balance that I'm trying to restore. The packet unit is taken care of, but I need a new piston head gasket. Does anyone know where I could find one and make sure it's the appropriate size for the pen?

Its a point head gasket:

These guys have it:

Ebay has it as well:

Good luck.

Thanks, but I don't think that is what I'm looking for. http://www.richardspens.com/?page=ref.htm I'm looking for the part in here that Richard calls the "piston head gasket" on the plunger rod under the profile of the Sheaffer Vac Fill system . In real life it looks like a rubber washer.

This may be what you're looking for (2nd from the bottom) but you'll have to cut your own:

Thanks. This is probably a stupid question, but how do I cut it to the right size?

Yeah, that would be the tricky part... haven't done it myself yet, but the same site offers this:

Good Luck!

I used the material from vintage pens. Cut it bigger than needed, then mounted it on the plunger rod. Put the assembly in a drill press and
use a small piece of 100 grit sand paper to "turn it to size." It probably took me 20-30 minutes.

My Sheaffer Triumph now works like a dream!
