Greetings Pen Nuts!!!

I have a matter that I regretfully must bring to your attention. There have been questions in regards to what is a review or not. To simply put it, if you start a New Topic/Post on this forum and it is NOT a review but a question, then PLEASE DON'T POST IT!!! This forum is STRICTLY for fountain pen reviews ONLY. If you have a question or statement in regards to a specific pen review, then please by all means, post a reply in that specific pen review topic as it is normally done. That is what this forum is for!!! If you have a question about a nib or pen and want to start a new topic, then please post in the Writing Instruments forum or the appropriate forum. The Fountain Pen Review Forum IS NOT the place for this.

If you have mistakenly posted here or think you have, then please let me know via PM or post a reply telling me that you would like the post removed. I will gladly remove it and post it in the proper forum. Trust me, I wont get mad, we all make mistakes, Lord knows I make them all the time.

Due to recent complaints and the decision to super streamline THE FOUNTAIN PEN REVIEW DATABASE , I have recently become more aggressive in the enforcement of the posting rules on this specific forum. This is something that I have let slide in the past and enforcing forum rules is something that I normally do not like to do unless it is necessary. Now it has become necessary to enforce the rules here due to the recent surge in membership on FPN. a Few years ago, a minor issue in the past when we had less than 500 members was very easy to handle. Now with FPN quickly approching the 12,000 member mark, a minor issue has become a major problem and is becoming more than I can handle. When it comes to updating the Database, if I have to weed through several non review posts, it takes that much more time for me to update the Database. This is not fair for those who take time out of their busy day to write reviews and then have to wait several weeks for it to be posted in the database. If you start a New Topic/Post on this forum and it is NOT a review, I will move your post to the correct forum and I will NOT leave a MOVED POST Sticky on this forum. I might or might not contact you in regards to your moved post. Unfortunately, due to the large volume of reviews being posted here and the need to moderate this forum, contacting people because they refuse to follow or read the rules will be taken at a very low priority. I understand that there are new members here and I am understanding and will do what it takes to assist and work with them.

So I am asking all of you for your help and cooperation in this matter, this is something I would greatly appreciate!!! I really want to thank all of those who have contributed to this forum to make it what it is today. Also I would like to thank the vast majority of the members who play by the rules and make my stay here as your moderator something I look foward to everyday!!!
