The Write Pen
Hi Everyone,

This is my first post to FPN, I am glad to meet fountain pen friends on a new forum. I have been collectingsince I received my father's (died when I was 2) and my grandmother's fountain pens about 1990. I began collecting everything, picking up pens at flea markets and antique stores. Accumulated lots of junk and then my tastes began to escalate; my preference has alway been vintage. I have at one time or another housed up to 600 pens and still maintain around 200 at any given time.

I love US pens, mainly Wahl Eversharps, Parker, Waterman and Sheaffer and usually in that order. My favorite pen colors are browns and black & pearls, and I like desk sets.

Because of my preference for vintage and the necessity of restoration I began fixing my own pens and then opened my workbench to the public a few years ago. I repair anywhere from 25 to 40 pens a month, usually my turn around is a bout a week , maybe two.

I look forward to meetin new folks and learning more and more about pens on this list.

Regards,

danny

Where are you living, in general terms, that is. It might be useful to know in case someone is thinking of sending a pen to you for repair.

Welcome.

Hi Danny and welcome. I just looked at your site. The rates you charge are quite competitive!

Welcome to FPN! It's always good to have another repair guru around. You mentioned your favorite brands, but any particular models you prefer? Any chance you'll post a pic of your pens? Looking forward to seeing you (and hopefully your pens) around the boards.

Hi Toolose,
If you check out Danny's website here, it says on the homepage that he is in Russellville, Arkansas.

That reminds me....
Danny,
If you'd like your pen website's URL in your FPN signature (click on "Edit my Signature" in your Viewing Profile--where you can post your personal info, if you choose), it might be a bit more visible...and you wouldn't have to keep typing it out each time. biggrin.gif

Cheers!
