Hello everyone,

I seemed to have skipped this thread on my way down to the marketplace. So here goes nothing...I was bitten by the fountain pen bug back in high school. A store clerk pulled a Namiki vanishing point from his shirt pocket for me to sign a receipt, needless to say at this point that I had to have one. Of course being the poor high school student that I was, I had to add the green Namiki to my Christmas list. Along came Christmas and with it brought my Namiki VP, that sucker is still to this day a wonderful writer. I've now grown to accumulate quite a diverse mix of FPs. Montblanc writers LE's, Early Duofolds, and anything else that has struck my fancy. Then again isn't it the never-ending pursuit of the worlds perfect writing instrument that keeps us collecting?

Cheers,
Chris from Baltimore

Hi,

You already seem to be addicted, so this place certainly won't help. Good to have a variety of pens to suit your moods, I have a good mix of vintage/modern with various filling systems and despite the fact I keep trying to stop so I can enjoy the pens I already have, I am always on the look out for the next purchase.

Welcome, hope you enjoy your visits to the forums.

I think the fact that there are so many different styles and choices, lends itself to the addictive nature of collecting them. I started with contemporary pens, went to vintage, now back to modern. Montblancs are my current obsession at the moment. Below is a link to photographs of my collection.

Cheers,
Chris
