Full Version: Sheaffer Agio medium nib width

Hi! I'm new to FP and have just got a Agio Serene Blue which comes with medium nib only.

I've used the Pilot V-pen (Varsity), which is a medium and find it too wide for me, I'd consider to exchange it to a fine nib if the Sheaffer is similar to the V-pen.

I appreciate your response.

Due to the differences in construction (the Pilot V-Pen is folded, while the Agio is a typical fountain pen ball-tip nib), the medium Agio lays down a much narrower line IME --- that's not to say it'll be sufficiently narrower for your needs, but the line isn't as wide w/ the inks I've used.

Thanks William, I've decided to live with the medium nib for now, you're right, the Agio writes a bit thinner than the Varsity and I can live with that for now.
