You came to the right place.
I LOVE my MB 149,its the mother of all pens and I call it my queen.
Its a FANTASTIC writer. Its a pen that everytime you hold it in your hands it makes you want to write.
No doubt its a big pen so be sure it feels comfortable in your hand.
If I were you I'd wait to get it off the "Marketplace" and I wouldnt buy it new.You can get a 149 in excellent condition for 300$ or so.

I own few more MB pens some LE and lots of other fantistic pens but none makes me fell as my queen does-long live the queen thumbup.gif

If you want to buy it ne w I'd try to contact Altman and FPH I believe there prices are very good.
I got all my new MB pens from the FPH.

I'd check with the Fleebay (eBAY). You can find very reasonable prices. The 149 has gone up in price recently, but is worth it. I would say a good price on ebay would be between $250-$350. Any more than that and I think you'd be overpaying. Of course, choose a seller that has good feedback and pay with paypal and make sure the transaction is covered up to $2,000 and you'll be set.

As the previous poster said, its a wonderful pen. The more pens I acquire, the more I cherish my 149. Also, unless you are looking for vintage, most likely the pen places will have new 149's and the older they get, the better they were made. Sometimes you can find a nice '70's or '80's Montblanc for rockbottom price on ebay. Good Luck!
