I'm looking for a few inks in the UK.
In particular I'm looking for MB Turquoise & Violet, and Visconti 'Mushroom Bottle' Bordeaux. Does anyone have any recommendations for a UK supplier of these? I can't seem to find them.

I'd also like a rich green but can't seem to make up my mind. Any suggestions? I used to have Parker Quink Green, but I fear it's 'Somewhere Safe', so I'll never find it.

Regards

Richard.

Hi Richard,

I've been looking for the violet Montblanc as well in the UK. The nearest to date that I have found are the cartridges:

http://www.cityorg-pdq.co.uk/acatalog/Mont...p;_Refills.html

They DO have the turquoise though.

I rang them but they haven't any idea when they will get the violet. It does seem odd that Montblanc don't appear to want to sell their product!

I don't know about the MB, but The Writing Desk sells the Visconti range (with the nice bottles), and are a pleasure to deal with.

(No affiliation, just a happy customer).

I've got inks from The Writing Desk too, but they don't seem to sell the Burgundy. Unless it's sold in the UK under a different name. I was so struck by the colour in Old Griz's review that only that one will do.

I was under the impression that the only red Visconti make is the burgundy one - in that case, TWD have it. They've got a user profile on here, so you could always PM them and ask. Or email them. I would be interested to know their answer, though, because I also read OldGriz's review, and I planned to get a bottle from TWD as soon as I had emptied some of the other bottles currently on my desk.

I'll have to do that. They've been able to get me out of a hole before - with a leaking Targa belonging to my wife - so maybe they'll come up trumps again.

I have checked and Red = Burgundy = Burgundy Red*
* the new description on The Writing Desk website.

Different documents say different names so our name uses both words. Neither bottle nor box gives any description.

Thanks for pointing out the possible confusion.
