Hello,
I have one blue Touchdown Sheaffer (looking like a White Dot Valiant)

and I have some repair to do on it :

1- Replace ink sac that is completly hardened
2- Replace blue cap that is damaged

Where can I find these elements ?
For the sac, do I need some glue (or something like that) to do the repair ?

Thanks

P.S. : I'm writing from France

To adhere the sac, shellac is the preferred glue-- it's frequently available in small doses from the same places you get the sac from. The cap is something of a problem, of course, and in general I don't know any European sources for pen parts. An online search for "pen sac" should turn up something, if not local to you than at least accessible. For the cap, I think the best hope is an "I want to buy..." on the Marketplace here.

That seems an uncommonly dark blue, too. Don't throw the old cap away until you're sure of a replacement.

Thanks Ernst for your reply.

As I'm very new in pen repairs, I don't have any idea of the places where I can buy ink sacs or shellac glue !
Is it possible via Internet ?

I also don't know where you could go to get the parts. You may need to seek out the services of a pen repairman. The seal around the touchdown plunger may need to be replaced too. How is the cap damaged? it may be repairable.

This looks like "Persian Blue" to me. You may want to use that in your search for a cap.

Sacs and shellac are available online from Pendemonium (which has its storefront in Fort Madison, Iowa, the old home of Sheaffer) and Tryphon Enterprises. Tryphon sells a mix of shellac that is supposedly special and ideal for pens, but the regular shellac that Pendemonium sells has always worked well enough for me, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. These stores are both in the US so if you're in Europe be sure to order everything at once in order to avoid having to pay a lot in postage. The TD's and Snorkels take a #15 sac. I would also order O rings, point seals, and silicone grease at the same time, because these materials are often necessary for fixing Sheaffer TD's and Snorkels, and you will probably need some if your pen is unrestored. The folks at Pendemonium or Tryphon will make sure you get the right size, etc.

Unfortunately, I have had some trouble finding replacement TD and snorkel caps, even in Pastel Blue, and Persian Blue (like yours) is not as common as Pastel Blue. An easier solution would be to find a metal Sentinel cap, which is much more common and still correct for this pen model (of course it will technically become a Sentinel, but that's better than a cracked cap - no cap at all!).

I wish you best of luck!
