I ordered a Parker IM (Profile) Fountain Pen from the Netherlands
Paid about $45 shipped

Now it is stuck in customs and they asking for $40.00 to clear it.

I think I do not want the pen anymore, any idea if I can just ignore the customs ?

Would they return it ?

Would they junk it ?

Almost 100% customs fee... something is definitely wrong there...
I would question why the fee is that high...
I have never paid customs on a $45 pen from overseas.... it sounds like someone is reading the value wrong.
Remember in Europe they use a , instead of a . a lot of times to differentiate dollars and cents....
The might be reading $45,00 as $4500 instead of $45.00

They sell for about £9.95 in the UK so that is about $20, postage would not cost more than £3 so $26 max I would have thought and customs on that should not be much at all. Something wrong somewhere.
