I just spotted these on ebay and they're selling at Ujuku for $89.00 (NAJASC)

Nice pen.

I am not much of a demo pen admirer, but that is a relatively inexpensive way to get one of the best nibs I have ever used, the Namiki #5 14 k nib.

That think is cool.
Eyedropper potential? But the end of the barrel might be a problem.

Nothing a bit of silicone grease or something more sophisticated couldn't fix.
I like the idea, since the same one was bouncing around in my head... Must hold out for Brown 823

Like a big ball of silicone caulk?

I was thinking just pull the end plug (I suspect it'll just pop out like on the V-pens) and coat it with silicone grease.
If you wanted more "sophisticated" you could use silicone sealant as a semi permanent solution or even epoxy for a VERY permanent solution. I'd avoid using a big ball if I could...

If the plug won't come out then its likely to be sealed already. Anyone with one of these who can confirm or deny the ease of end cap removal?
Oh and I'd also test with water first just make sure things don't leak in unexpected places.

It looks like the pen has metal threads, like some other Pilot pens. It might not be the best eye-dropperizing candidate.

The regular opaque Custom 74 (FKK-1000R) is the same price on the Ujuku website.
Does anyone know how this nib compares to the ones on the more expensive pens, like the Custom 823?

I have the same question.... how big is the nib compared to the 823? Also, how big is the pen overall? It certainly looks cool, and the price is right, but I need a pen with some size....

I have a regular Custom 74 with a music nib and the nib is 19mm long. The pen itself is 125mm unposted and 160mm posted. Weight without ink is 9 grams unposted or 17 grams posted. The pen is very light and unposted it is one of the most comfortable and well balanced pens I own. These are an excellent buy for $90.00 and compare favourably to pens costing much more.

wondering basically the same thing. if it is a bock #5, 823 bock #15 and 742 bock #10 is it just one step below the #10?
cheers,

According to the Ujuku website the standard Custom 74 uses a #3 nib and the more expensive model with the Music nib is a #5. Pilot nibs are made by Pilot, not Bock.

The #15 nib on my 823 is a bout 23mm long, and pen dimensions are 150mm capped, 131 mm unposted, and 161mm posted. So the size is similar. Probably the most significant differences are the nib and the filling system.
