Hi,

You can take the nib and slide it onto an Accent, Studio, or CP1.

James,

Thank you for sharing.

I commented to my wife that if you wrote something as commonplace as a grocery list, it would be a work of art!

Regarding the Lamy Joy, I find that it is far more "forgiving" of my tendency to rotate my hand while writing across the page than are any of the Rotring Art pens. Having said that, the Rotring pens produce a far "cleaner" character than does the Lamy. I find that the "finger flats" make the pen easier to hold; the cap is similar to that found on the Lamy Safari.

In my very inexperienced opinion, in terms of ease of use, I would rank the Lamy Joy first, followed closely by an Osmiroid dating from the 1960's, and then, as a distant third, any of the Rotring Art Pens.

In terms of crispness of character, I would rate the Rotring Art Pens first, followed closely by the Osmiroid, with the Lamy Joy ranking third.

Hi,

If you hate the flat spots on the Joy grip, just use a piece of tape, stick it on the top of the nib and pull the nib off. Then, you can choose between a Lamy Logo, CP1, Accent, or ST. When you get either or all of the mentioned pens, you can put the tape on the nib(s), pull, and exchange by sliding the Joy nib on with your fingers.
