Just acquired new old stock Parker Insignia Custom Black fountain pen. It's my first Parker, and I think it's a classic, beautiful pen. I made the purchase from ebay, and also ordered a couple of converters from another vendor since I prefer bottled ink. While the "deluxe" Parker twist converters appear to be authentic (they say Parker on the metal band) they do not "fit" snuggly inside this Insignia. The converter just slides easily on and off the nib section. The connection is so lose that you have to hold the pen nib down when you're unscrewing the nib from the body of the pen or the converter will just fall out. Both of the converters have the same poor "fit." I got Noodlers black ink everywhere messing around trying to get this to work.

I'm wondering if the converters might be defective, or perhaps the pen itself? I have a variety of other fountain pens, but I've never encountered a loose fitting converter. The pen was inexpensive, as were the converters, but I wonder if anyone else has experienced anything like this before. For all I know the pen may not even be authentic. I've attached the picture of the from the posting (or at least I'm going to try and attach it), which is accurate and much better than any picture I might try to take...

I'm a fan of the Fountain Pen Network, but this is my first post.
