This was my Sumgai deal of the weekend. I had gone to Office Max with my Mom and they had one Waterman Phileas Fountain Pen set. I had been wanting a Phileas for a while, but was waiting on either a coupon or sale of some kind. Boy did I ever land a great deal!

It was the only set left and it was apparent that one of the cartridges had been used. I asked the sales guys if he could discount it a bit since it was the only one and it looked like it had been returned. He said, "Let me see what I can do." Pecked around on the computer and said, "$29.99?" I said, 'Fine by me.' cloud9.gif

So, for $29.99 I got a blue and gold Phileas, bottled of black ink, 5 cartridges and a converter.

Needless to say I'm thrilled. This pen is great. It writes as smooth as butta right out of the box.

How fun! I love when that happens. My Phileas have been problem free, smooth writers for years. Did you get medium or fine nib?

This Phileas as a medium nib.

I picked up three Waterman Phileas kits last year when they had the coupon sale -- $9.99 each! Don't think we will ever see such a deal again. They made great gifts. Enjoy yours in good health!

Nice score. That's a good deal. I think you'll be very happy with your new Phileas. I love mine.
