is it possible to convert a c/c pen kit over to aerometric? the aerometric unit in my flighter 45 comes out and looks like it could be used, but its to wide even for the gentlemans pen kit...
There is no such thing as an Aero-metric unit in a 45, or in any other C/C pen. Having a squeeze bar does not make a pen Aero-metric, it just makes it a squeeze (thumb) filler, and it doesn't make any difference whether the squeezer is a converter, as in a 45, or a built-in filler, as in a "21" or a "51" Special. The only Aero-metric pens Parker ever made were the "51" Mark I and "51" Mark II.

(First, apologies for the brusqueness of the above. I was babysitting at Kate and Don's home and was in the middle of writing when my cell rang to tell me that Barbara and Don were bringing Kate home from the hospital, where she'd just received an IV antibiotic for her just-diagnosed pneumonia. Had to finish the post and close the computer so I could drive Barbara home.)
The thing about Aero-metric is that the term defines a very specific set of features, which are set out in
U.S. Patent No. 2,612,867.Parker did make another squeeze converter later, for use in the 180 and other similar skinny pens, and this converter could form the basis of a conversion. More to the point, however, would be a Sheaffer squeeze converter. I suspect you'd need the Slim Targa converter, which you can still get from Sheaffer for $5.00 plus shipping.
