Harry Nile
hello everyone!

Bio- I am a forty-four year-old from North Carolina. My real name is Charles. Harry Nile is a radio detective I listen to on XM radio.

Four years ago, I bought a yellow Waterman Charleston rollerball. I had it engraved and carried it with me everywhere, except that one time when it dropped out of my pocket in a parking lot. For whoever found it, you have obviously assumed my identity cause you didn't return the pen. I wish you well in your new (our) life, and could you please remember to water our plants?

I chose the Charleston, because that is where I went to school, and I love the town. The yellow spoke to me.

I went a few years wanting to replace it, but felt guilty for losing the first. Periodically, I would look the pen up on the net, and pine. When I discovered the yellow was discontinued, I bought another, rationalizing I went three years without losing a second one.

I joined this site a few months ago, because my dad purchased a set of Waterman Rhapsodies. I have discovered men of a certain age buy a lot of stuff, and sons of certain age have it appraised.

What I didn't expect was to become gradually enthralled with pens.

This is my first post, but I have read many. I enjoy reading about your special pens. I want to frame some of the ink reviews-the colors, the handwriting! I have also entered the post card exchange.

Afternoon Charles - I love that line - and plan to use it (I'll footnote you).

Charleston is a really fun city - youthful, energetic, well mannered. It's like New Orleans before the Cajuns downed that fourth cocktail. And the born & bred Charleston accent is the most gracious of Southern accents. There was a good hotel just at the end of the Market on East Bay Street - the Market Pavillion - very nice with a great rooftop pool overlooking the waterfront.

So welcome to the madness. Maybe Harry Niles and Guy Noir can work together to find you a new pen.

Have fun.
