I heard that the Parker 51 Vaccumatic was never a Parker product, that it has been always produced by a Indian outfit.
If this is true, then maybe Parker produces most of there pens in India or the far east ??
Any ideas on this ? (read this online at a pen wholesalers forum)

First I would stop reading that forum... in fact I would like a link to it just to see what other fallacies are there...
Parker had five factories that I can recall...
Janesville, Toronto, England and Argentina (Aerometrics only) and China...
Argentina from what I recall was a short lived facility...
Janesville was the home and largest facility...
Toronto and England were set up to short cut the import fees that would have to be paid if the product was made in the US...
Parker did not have a facility in India... they did have one in China that was nationalized, but I am not sure what it produced...
51 Vacumatics were made in the US, Toronto and for a short time (starting in 1947) in England.
