Hi.
having not seen what you are describing, merely the modern versions...
Does it have a metal/plastic cap/cannister similar to the modern cross erasers?
I have not a clue on the diameter.. but.. sometimes the pencils of today will take a cut of either an eraser from the Pilot eraser (like click-pencil, but it is an eraser)... or from the Uni Auto-rase... ? (blast.. I work with it and I forget what it is
called). The Pilot is larger than the Uni.
I point it out because it may be possible to re-install a modern plastic eraser into your system?

It's always tough to find erasers for MP's that are no longer made---I've found that erasers used for "Erasing Machines" can be cut down/whittled to fit many MP's---These are generally 7" long in packs of a dozen. The ones I have in front of me are made by "Bruning" and by "Eberhard Farber". One of my "thrills?" when I go to any office supply place is to scan the shelves for eraser packs made by different manufacturers, every once in a while I find some that are an exact fit or are modifiable to fit some MP. Small little triumphs! While not originals, they will work. My other approach is to use borers---home made from thin wall brass tubing from a hobby/model making store or from lab supply places (used for making holes in cork or rubber stoppers) and bore a "Pink Pearl" or some such eraser to custom fit the MP in question. More work but one gets one to fit. I also acquire any I can find in fleas and Junque stores. Lucked into a bunch of Scripto erasers (these fit the Classic transparent colored MP's) that way. Always test to see if they will still erase and are not hard.
