I just won this Shaffer pen. I think it is a vacuum filler and possibly a Valiant. I think I got it for a decent price too.

Shaeffer Pen

Can anyone confirm?

Are they easy to fix if it needs it?

Thanks

Looks like a Vacuum fill- I don't consider these to be easy to fix in comparison to the lever fill alternative. You may need pro help for this one.

Sheaffer Vacuum-Fils are difficult pens to fix. I would leave these to the pen repair guys. I'd say you got it for a fair price, even better if the filler still works. I can't remember specific models of Vac-Fils off hand, but it could be a Valiant.

Beautiful pen!
For a while I couldn't stop buying the Brown Striated ones.
I still have several around here somewhere.

This is a nice pen. Even if you have to put a little money into it, you'll end up with a pen that you will delight in using.

Just got it in the mail today. It cleaned up very well and it looks like it is working great! Love the feel and look of it. I may have to get some more of these. cloud9.gif

The price is decent.

The point is, it is very difficult to fix......

I got 5 Vacuum Filler, only 2 is working...... I cannot fix the other 3.....

The trouble is, I cannot find pro to fix my pen...... in Hong Kong......
