Full Version: You know its getting bad when ...
The Fountain Pen Network > General Pen Topics > Writing Instruments

You have 3 pens inked and you only really use one. And then you realize while writing a few words on a large envelope that fine pt writing really looks lost, on the page.
And then your 4th pen arrives and you don't even ink it. You open and fondle it a bit and put it back in its coffin, it's a Sensa meridian. And then you go back online to find a fine pt meridian because they are becoming rare and even though you have a silver meridian fine pt, you need a gold and black to have all the colors.
But, really... while you have a Safari Vista m.p. that now goes with you every where cause you love it and can post the cap with out concern for scratching the paint you want a Safari or a Vista, the Aluminum one, with a
E. F. point cause it was trying a Safari E. F. pt that made you want a Safari in the first place.

Having said all that, I've been walking around with the fine point Meridian because I'm trying to finish a letter to my mom (70) to tell her that I (42) now know how she could work all day and come home and know what I had done and what I hadn't done all day. Inspite of what I said . And I don't have kids yet.
It just seems romantic and the fatter heavier meridian just feels better in my hand as I think about Mom and write.
Come to think of it she likes a good pen .
Enough of this! There are pens on ebay, that need for me to bid on them.
Still not sure which Lamy to pursue...

My anti pen defenses are weakening smile.gif

For a second I thought I had a blackout and wrote this myself. I understand your pain/passion for fountain pens. Sometimes I just have to take a step back and do something or I'll just keep obsessing about them. Good luck on the bidding.
P.S. I too have been eying some Lamys on ebay thumbup.gif
